Functieomschrijving
The Web Designer will be specifically responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of the European websites. Of course the web designer will have a keen eye for the Bose style guide, using a combination of graphic design skills and technical knowledge of how web pages are created. The web designer will create, maintain and improve the visual customer experience of our international websites, as well as develop and implement high quality content for online advertising and promotions initiatives under supervision of the Web Design and Production Manager.
The Web Designer works highly collaboratively with cross-functional team members in developing/optimizing the information architecture, navigation, user interface and an overall visual tone, which enhances and supports the BOSE® brand online. The web designer will support experienced members of the team as well as work independently. The web designer has experience in creating designs according to the W3C standards and Search Engine Optimization principles.

The ideal web designer has a higher education degree or more than 5 years of experience in developing websites and online communication;
The web designer has expert knowledge of the web design and production software package Adobe CS3;
The web designer has excellent design skills;
The web designer has expert knowledge of information architecture, web usability and design;
The web designer has in-depth knowledge of web standards, W3C standards and Search Engine Optimization principles;
The web designer has a very good knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS;
The web designer owns the ability to solve complex design problems and achieve the highest quality design while pushing the boundaries of rich media online applications;
The web designer has a very good knowledge of typography, page and screen layout, composition and colour theory;
The web designer has a broad understanding of the web and associated technologies and proficiency with a range of appropriate software tools;
The web designer has knowledge of web content management systems;
The web designer functions well under stress and you have a flexible working attitude;
The web designer is fluent in English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus;
The web designer has a structured working methodology;
The web designer pays close attention to detail;
The web designer has good communication skills.
